How much does it cost to have my WCFCB returns filed?

Can you register a business that has never been with WCFCB?
Yes. New employer registration is the more common request. Every employer in Zambia is required to register, including households employing domestic workers, and many businesses only discover the requirement when a tender asks for a compliance certificate. We handle the registration and the first assessment together.
What happens if I have not filed for several years?
Back assessments and penalties may have accrued, and it is better to approach WCFCB than to wait for WCFCB to approach you. We reconstruct the outstanding years from your payroll records, file what is owed, and deal with the correspondence. Tell us how many years are outstanding when you get in touch.
How long does it take to get a compliance certificate?
Once returns are filed and the assessment is settled, WCFCB issues the certificate. The timeline depends on WCFCB rather than on us, which is why it is worth starting before a tender deadline rather than during one. We follow up on your behalf until it is issued.
What do you need from me to start?
Your business name and TPIN, your industry, your employee numbers for the year being declared, and your WCFCB registration number if you already have one. If you have last year's assessment notice, that helps us reconcile the provisional amount so you are not assessed twice.
Do I have to use an agent at all?
No. You can file directly with WCFCB, and the estimate on our calculator is free precisely so you can see the figure without paying anyone. Employers use us because the reconciliation between last year's provisional and this year's actual is where mistakes get expensive, and because chasing the certificate takes time they would rather spend elsewhere.
