Who we are

Zambia NetPay is run by eLucive Software Solutions, based in Lusaka, Zambia. We decide how the information described here is used. For any question about this policy, email [email protected] or call +260 979 068 878.

The short version

  • You can use the calculators without giving us your name or email.
  • We do not save the salary you type in unless you start a payment.
  • We do not sell your information.
  • You can ask us to correct or delete your information at any time.

What we collect

When you use a calculator. Your figures are sent to our server to work out the result. They are not saved. The exception is an entry our system flags as suspicious, which can appear in our server logs.

When you search for a TPIN. Your search is passed to the Zambia Revenue Authority's website to get the result. We do not save it.

When you start a payment. We save your email address, the product, the amount, the payment reference and the calculation the report is based on. For a salary report, that includes your salary, allowances and deductions. For a Workers' Compensation report, it includes your company name, TPIN, industry and earnings figures. We save this when you start, even if the payment is not completed.

When a payment goes through. We also save how you paid. For mobile money, that is your number, network and account name. For a card, it is the card type and the last four digits. We never see or store your full card number.

When you sign up for an email. For a budget update, we save your email address. For a Workers' Compensation reminder, we also save your industry, number of employees, estimated assessment and company name if you gave one, so the reminder can include them.

When you contact us. The contact form sends us your name, email, mobile number, company, number of employees and message by email. We also keep a count of messages per email address for a day to limit abuse. If you message us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp's own privacy terms also apply.

When you visit the site. Our hosting and security providers record technical details such as your IP address, and we use it to limit abuse. We also count page visits and steps such as a completed calculation, without attaching your name, email or salary to them.

Why we use it

  • To take your payment and deliver what you bought, including sending your report by email and letting you download it again.
  • To send the emails you signed up for.
  • To answer your messages and provide any service you ask us for.
  • To keep financial records and meet our legal obligations.
  • To protect the site from abuse and understand how it is used.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the providers that run the service, and only what each one needs:

  • Lenco processes payments.
  • Resend sends our emails, including your report as an attachment.
  • Vercel hosts the site and provides our visitor statistics.
  • Cloudflare protects the site and delivers it to your browser.
  • Our database providers store the records described above.
  • The Zambia Revenue Authority receives TPIN searches.

We may also share information if the law requires it. We do not file anything with a government body on your behalf unless you have asked us to.

Some of these providers store and process information outside Zambia, including in the United States.

How long we keep it

We keep payment records for as long as we need them for our accounts, tax and legal obligations, and so you can download your report again. Other information stays on file until you ask us to delete it. Contact form messages stay in our email inbox until they are deleted.

Emails we send

We email you about a purchase, and about anything you signed up for. To stop a Workers' Compensation reminder, use the unsubscribe link in that email. To stop any other email, write to [email protected].

Saved in your browser

We save your light or dark mode choice and, after a purchase, an access key in your browser so you stay unlocked. You can clear these in your browser settings. Our own site does not set advertising cookies. Cloudflare may set a short-lived security cookie.

Your rights

Under Zambia's Data Protection Act, 2021, you can ask us to:

  • Confirm whether we hold information about you, and give you a copy.
  • Correct information that is wrong.
  • Delete your information, unless we must keep it by law.
  • Stop using your information for a particular purpose.

Email [email protected] from the address you used with us. We may ask you to confirm who you are first. If you are not happy with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update it here and change the date at the top. Questions are welcome on our contact page.
